4 Festivals Happening in Canada This Summer

Summer is festival season around the world and Canada is no exception.

Canada hosts many different festivals during the summertime. Why not explore another part of our beautiful country instead of going abroad this year?

We’re celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday this summer, so you definitely won’t want to miss some of these exciting Canadian festivals:

1. World Championship Bathtub Race

Where: Nanaimo, British Columbia

When: July 21 - 23

This is a fun, free festival that is in its 50th year running. Head over to Nanaimo, BC in July to watch 200+ people complete a 58km race in motorized bathtubs.

2. Chocolate Fest

Where: St. Stephen, New Brunswick

When: August 5 - 12

During this amazing festival, check in to the chocolate capital of Canada for some chocolate-infused lunches, dinners, and desserts. You can even make your own chocolates!

3. Elvis Festival

Where: Collingwood, Ontario

When: July 28 - 30

This unique festival celebrates Elvis in all his glory and is one of the largest events of its kind in Canada. Head over to Ontario to see Elvis impersonators of all kinds with live music, singing competitions, a beer garden, and more.

4. Parksville Beach Festival

Where: Parksville, British Columbia

When: July 14 - August 20

The Parksville Beach Festival has been attracting a whopping 100,000+ visitors from around the world every year since 2015 and that number is expected to grow even more this year. This festival features great food and the Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition.
