Travelling with a toddler or small children can prove to be difficult. In an effort to help you plan for travelling with kids, we have some useful tips.
Give Yourself Plenty of Time
When travelling with kids, be sure to give yourself plenty of time. Toddlers love to explore. Whether you are at the airport, sightseeing, or travelling to different areas, give yourself plenty of time for bathroom breaks and stopping to smell the roses.
Pack Appropriately
It seems super simple, however, it is important to pack appropriately for the climate and terrain. Your toddler will be much happier. Remember to bring medicine, too. Whether they are out of routine, eating less healthy, or jet-lagged, children seem to always get sick on vacation. Be sure to bring some easy-to-swallow medicine or other basic first aid kit essentials.
Incorporate Technology
To keep little ones occupied, be sure to have plenty of games and things to do. If you have an iPad, there are plenty of toddler-friendly apps. This way, you can forgo the entire toy box and just bring the iPad. Books, coloring books, and a magic scribbler are also easy things you can bring that will keep toddlers occupied for hours.
Avoid Sweets
Resist the temptation to give your kids a bunch of sweets. Of course you want to enjoy your vacation, however, sweets will cause energy dips. And we’re betting you won’t want to arrive in a new city during the middle of a sugar rush!
