Canadian airline, WestJet, has granted deserving Canadian students a trip of a lifetime. Thirteen students from Alexis Park Elementary are being flown to Saskatoon to take park in WE Day on March 2nd. The youth empowerment event features A-list performers, world-renowned speakers and thousands of youth that will celebrate a year of action that has transformed communities and changed lives.
Thanks to WestJet, well deserving sixth and 7th grade students will join the movement of young people leading local change. This opportunity would never have been made possible if it weren’t forWest Jetproviding free flights and accommodations to the deserving children.
Youth’s Acts of Kindness Get Recognized by West Jet
Two classes in particular at Alexis Park Elementary were rewarded for their efforts to make a difference locally and globally. Before the holidays, students raised money by selling slightly used items and gave proceeds to the Vernon Women’s Transition House Society. This particular school has some struggling families of its own and out of the goodness of their hearts, they have chosen to fundraise for charity.
This Alexis Park students are part of WestJet’s larger program to send 90 outstanding Canadian youth to the WE Day in Saskatoon.West Jethopes to keep encouraging youth to make a difference not only in their community but globally as well.
